Prague transporation system

COMING FROM THE VÁCLAV HAVEL AIRPORT (PRG) TO THE CITY CENTRE:

BUS AND METRO:
Take the bus No. 100 or 119 in order to reach the metro station (100: to the metro station Zličín, metro line B; 119: to the metro station Nádraží Veleslavín, metro line A,) and continue by metro to your destination.

Taxi stands can be found at the main train station, at the airport, and outside the hotels and many tourist sites.

Metro operates daily from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The time interval between train departures is approximately 2-3 minutes during the workday rush hours and 4-10 minutes during off-peak hours.

TRAMS

Daytime operation is from 4:30 a.m. to midnight. Night operation is provided by tram numbers 51 to

59 in 30 minutes intervals. The central interchange station for night lines is Lazarská. Timetables are placed at each tram stop.

PRAGUE CITY TRANSPORT FARES

Traveling by city transport is possible only with a valid ticket. Passengers have to buy their tickets before boarding the vehicle or entering the Metro system. The ticket is valid only if marked in the validation appliance. Tickets can be bought at selected Metro stations, Information Centers, hotels, at news stands, travel bureaus, department stores, etc. Single tickets can also be bought from the ticket vendors located at Metro stations or near some stops of surface transport.

32 CZK – basic/ 16 CZK - discounted (children 10 to 15 years): the ticket is valid for the underground, trams, buses and funicular for 90 minutes after marking, age of child must be proven

24 CZK – basic/ 12 CZK - discounted (children 10 to 15 years): the ticket is valid for the underground, trams, buses and funicular for 30 minutes after marking, age of child must be proven

Short-term tourist tickets

24 hours ticket 110 CZK, children (10 to 15 years) 55 CZK
